First Day of Practice for Dave Reaville

Good morning everyone. Yesterday we headed out to a practice site about 125 km from Sante Fe and found a field that wasn't being used, so once again Team Canada had their own practice site and each pilot manage to get in at least 7 flights. The girls left us and headed into Rosario with Rosemary (Harry's wife) and Brian (Chad's Dad) and left the boys to play. The wind was blowing from our backs really good so it was great practice for Dave as we typically do not get to experience this type of wind. My Duralite/FlightPower F3A packs got a good workout and performed flawlessly in these conditions. We are now charging them in a 10S configuration which allows us to charge two sets of packs at the same time resulting in faster turn around. On Dave's last flight he passed the transmitter over to me and let me put in a few maneuvers and I now can truly say that I have flown in Argentina. BIG GRIN!!!

Dave still hasn't received his shipment but Harry has the shipping information and will be trying to get some assistance from the organizers in retrieving them. It seems we are not the only ones to have shipping problems. Many teams (USA) have had planes delayed by customs for a couple of days with team managers running around BA trying to get them. Why the organizers didn't scope this out better beats me.

Last night we went out for dinner at a "beef" house and had a incredible meal. CRC Products picked up the tab for Team Canada (8 of us) which came to a whopping $536 Pesos which in Canadian funds was around $178 including the tip, wine, beer etc. I couldn't resist the 16 oz strip loin ($21 Pesos = $7 Canadian) at these prices. LOL
